Donna Hoover, Director of Records Management Services Department, Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center

Preserving Records - An Update on the Circuit Court Clerk’s Records This session will provide an update on what the Virginia Circuit Court Records Preservation Program is doing to fulfill the mission so obvious in its title.  From book and paper conservation to digitally imaging historical court cases for Web access, the CCRP continues its seventeen-year endeavor to uncover the mysteries that still lie beneath the dust and within the bits and bytes.
Glenn Smith, Circuit Court Grants Coordinator, The Library of Virginia

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) - A number of Virginia Records Management and Archives professionals have expressed a need to form Special Interest Groups (SIGs). To date, the identified SIGs include: Electronic Records (General), Electronic Medical Records, Records Management Compliance, Legal, Public Schools, and Law Enforcement.  SIGs were formed for the primary purpose of sharing knowledge, partnering with the Library of Virginia, and in some cases, developing “Best Practices”. Join us to understand what SIGs can offer you and get a copy of the Best Practices for Discovery developed by the VRMC (Virginia Records Management Compliance) SIG.
